1934 Ford Custom Phaeton For Sale

Open-air phaeton body styles helped make motoring enjoyable prior to auto climate control, and here, four seats, four doors and an airy body design are all part of this 1934-era showpiece. Built using an original steel body upon a modified factory chassis, the running boards and dealer-installed dual side mounts are factory, with the doors uniquely opening from a common center post. When this professional rotisserie custom was completed by Jon Kosmoski, it included a 2-inch chopped soft top. Considerable effort was spent modifying the side-mount spare brackets to function with modern wheels and tires. The final execution allows it to be sedate in appearance yet modern in technology.

Lifting the bonnet reveals a 350 CI RamJet crate V-8 engine. This is equipped with chrome details, red Taylor wires and tubular headers, and is now upgraded with a modern computer using NOS sensors in the exhaust. A B&M Turbo 350 transmission with cooler is coupled to a Ford 9-inch differential behind this, while rack-and-pinion steering is mated to a chromed and drilled I-beam dropped axle. The Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes use cryogenically treated rotors to prevent warping.
