The final car offered from the House of Kolor collection is also the most traditional in terms of Rodding, and as a bonus for the Blue Oval diehards, this car is Ford-powered as well. Like the previous three cars, this one underwent a professional build via the rotisserie process by House of Kolor Founder Jon Kosmoski using an all-steel body including fenders and running boards. Instead of going to extremes, the Tudor sedan body here is carefully detailed without overtly changing the factory shape.
For power, a 351 CI Ford Windsor V-8 engine was chosen, and it is fitted with a dual-feed FAST fuel system and matched valve covers, custom throttle return, headers and cooling system upgrades. There is an AOD automatic transmission backing this up, while the car features a polished stainless steel 4-wheel independent suspension, Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes featuring cryogenically treated rotors to prevent warping, and power steering. Vintage Air with the front runner system is also installed on the engine here, with custom 1934 Ford lettering done on the firewall.
The body was covered in House of Kolor Jet Black with red pinstriping, with a quart of touchup paint included in this sale. Outside points of interest are the centered hood mascot, amber road lamps, small cowl lights, modern specialty wipers, a chrome spare inside the rear-mount shell, and chrome exhaust exit ports. The interior features Teas front and rear seats done in red leather upholstery, while other upgrades within would be power windows, a custom four-speaker stereo system, the Ididit tilt steering column with custom red-grip steering wheel, consolette with shifter and cup holders, and white-faced gauges. As a crowning touch, a set of modern Weld Ultralite wheels with tripoint spinners were chosen, wearing traditional sized blackwall tires as opposed to modern narrow-sidewall versions, giving this car a more timeless sense of purpose.
For fans who understand Henry Ford’s affinity for black paint, a purist engine choice and quality construction, this conclusion of the Jon Kosmoski collection will mean the best was indeed saved for last. Have you driven a real Ford lately?
