1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Convertible

A first-year 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS big-block convertible in Bolero Red with great options, it would be hard to top this car in terms of its first impression. Looking further, it is easy to see why it warranted a feature in Super Chevy magazine over 40 years ago. This car was built in the first week of March 1967 at the Van Nuys plant and was delivered new to Rancho Chevrolet in Reseda, California. During its refreshing, the body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in its original Bolero Red by The Last Detail in Chicago, Illinois, and it’s documented with its Protect-O-Plate and an NCRS Shipping Data Report, as well as the owner’s manual, folding top instructions and an optional accessories booklet.

Underneath the hood, this car features a matching-numbers 396/325 HP Turbo Jet V-8 engine. This big-block was the daily-driver version requiring less maintenance than the higher horsepower versions, but it was certainly a capable mill in the F-Body design. Moreover, the rare A.I.R. California emissions equipment is here as well. It is backed by the M40 Turbo 400 3–speed automatic transmission and a 12–bolt rear end, and power steering and power brakes with front discs assist the suspension.
