1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda For Sale

If there is a Cuda that defines All-American, this 1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda might be it. The result of a comprehensive restoration to correct specifications, this factory 4-speed Plymouth’s excellent presentation overall resulted in four first place trophies from Chrysler Performance West’s Southern California Spring Fling Car Show and was featured in both Car Craft (April 2003) and Mopar Muscle (March 2000) magazines. Hosting its matching-numbers engine and transmission and documented via two broadcast sheets, this AAR is a showpiece.

Released only for 1970 and so named due to its factory association with Dan Gurney’s All-American Racers team (hence the AAR designation), this car is a factory 4-speed, one of 1,120 produced for the car’s homologation process for the SCCA Trans-Am series. This car is powered by a matching-numbers, specially-cast 340 6-BBL engine topped by the original 6BBL 3×2 Holley carburetors. There is also the date-coded dual-point distributor, 37-amp alternator, voltage regulator, starter relay, plug wires and hoses, with power exiting via side exhaust, also exclusive to this model release. Behind it is the matching-numbers A833 4-speed manual transmission stirred with a Hurst Pistol Grip shifter and a Sure Grip differential with 3.91 final gear ratio. Exclusive suspension included fast-ratio power steering, heavy-duty power brakes with front discs, and handling upgrades.
