With just 64 left-hand drive examples produced, this left-hand drive 2009 Bentley Arnage Red Label long-wheelbase sedan is certain to be a rare sighting anywhere it rolls. Finished in Peacock Blue, it is powered by the venerable twin-turbocharged 6.75L V-8 engine with a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission. It’s fitted with a brightly polished stainless grille surround topped by the Winged B mascot, and the grille matches those set below the bumper. Bright window surrounds and side-view mirrors balance the look along with chrome 19-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels.
The Magnolia-colored interior is upholstered with supple leathers and highly polished Madrona veneers trimming the dashboard, center stack, center console, picnic tables and door panels. The seats are piped in blue, and contrasted Magnolia-colored stitching can be spied throughout. Equipped with four crystal champagne chalices, two crystal shot glasses and two crystal decanters, the rear compartment features a DVD system and electronic blinds, and the car features iPod connectivity. Accompanied by the original owner’s manuals and books, this rare Bentley also comes with a binder of receipts.
As Rolls-Royce was planning an entirely new Phantom, Bentley introduced the Arnage LWB for the 2001 model year. With additional length added to the front and rear doors and the C-pillar, the longer Arnage maintained its overall proportions very well and offered customers a more formal Bentley sedan. For 2003, the LWB moniker was replaced with the RL moniker, but every elongated Arnage was a bespoke Mulliner effort produced to the customers specifications. Customers could choose from a variety of wheelbases ranging from 131.1 inches to a stunning 151.3 inches, the two longest benefiting from revised chassis and suspensions to accommodate the extra weight while maintaining the spirited handling for which Bentleys have long been known.
