THE STORY

As most people know, the Plymouth brand died in 2001, and its Barracuda line had disappeared long before that in 1974. The car here represents the best of those traditions. This is a 2021 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack featuring a body converted to accurately represent the famed 1971 Plymouth Cuda. A group of handmade fiberglass panels were installed on this modern Mopar muscle machine with the car’s original metal structure remaining in place. The result is a Plymouth look-a-like with a majority of the current factory technology left in place, creating a “what might have been” vehicle had the brand continued forward.

This Scat Pack is powered by a 392 CI Hemi V-8 engine, the 6.4L/485 HP beast that gave Dodge its most powerful normally-aspirated modern Hemi engine. This came with the Shaker package and is backed with the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission and factory high-performance suspension. Options here include Line-Lock and Launch Control with Launch Assist. A set of Brembo disc brakes allow it to slow down faster than anything ever offered in the original Plymouth vehicle line.

With an odometer reading 2,975 miles, this car wears custom Sassy Grass Green paint with exc Hemi billboard graphics. There are chrome front and rear bumpers and both front chin and rear deck spoilers. LED lighting has been installed throughout including the headlights. Inside, it’s upgraded with a 1971 Barracuda-style dash, steering wheel and key fob emblems.
